Thanks! Right now, deals are still occurring according to Julie Giles from the official MBSAV fan group on Facebook. Right now all I can say to fans is keep it locked to Twitter (FreshTV, Teletoon), Tumblr (FreshTV), and the FB group for more updates — and of course I’ll keep fans updated the best I can with what I know, which is about the same as you!

Going to do a two-in-one post here before I go to work:

[If you didn’t already know], Addison Holley tied a win for her Young Artist Award portraying Anastasia on MBAV last year; she tied with Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) for Best Performance in a TV Series, in the category for Recurring Young Actress. — A win is better than a tie, but a tie is better than a nomination but then a nomination is better than nothing … do you guys see where I’m going with that?! XD
And also, the trailer to the upcoming Canadian medical-drama Hard Rock Medical (which premieres June 9th on TVOntario or TVO). Atticus Mitchell can be seen briefly 1:25 in. Atticus’s IMDb lists him portraying Caleb in 2 episodes, (“Love, Labour, Loss” & “Down Under”) … I took a shot of him in the trailer, I like his hair (but then again, I always do; he could grow an afro and I’d probably like it).

Hi, I just wanted to say I absolutely agree with your post. Nicholas is incredibly rude and irritating, and I'd like to commend you for handing the situation maturely. Thank you for this, I’m glad some fans can see what’s right and what’s wrong. I hated to do this, but then again, I didn’t because Nicholas shouldn’t be getting angry and harboring things towards others who have differences regarding this show; whether it be the episodes, shipping/pairing of characters, or the characters themselves.

Proof that some people (mostly this guy) in this fandom have a hard time respecting other’s opinions and letting go.

Well with germaican changing how/what she posts and me working different hours, MBAV fans for the moment are on their own, somewhat. We’re NOT leaving the fandom.

Germaican and I owning the fandom? I think not, the FANS own the FANDOM, we just post the most (although some fans post something somewhere everyday, even if it’s just screens), are the ‘go to’ fans for the fandom, and we try to keep fans up-to-date to the best of our abilities (we are not Teletoon, Disney Channel or closely affiliated with anyone from MBSAV). Nick, word to the wise, you need to move on and let go, and so should anyone else who is roped into this.

If we were Sarah/Etharah/Vanessa Morgan haters, we wouldn’t bother posting involving her or voice where we feel Sarah could be improved. I want Etharah to work on MBAV, and I have nothing against Sarah or her portrayer. But fans in this fandom need to respect each other and their opinions, TODAY.

If Vanessa and MBV’s writers likes Etharah, fine, but it’s no reason to rub it in that one of the stars and the producers of the show just so happens to agree with your opinion. I get that we all want to have our buddies’s backs in this fandom, but if I feel someone is taking a wrong approach to someone else’s opinion, friend or not, I’m hawking you down on it.

Also, my 7-8 month late recap & review of “Halloweird” will be up soon at my blog, and I’m NOT changing ONE word of my review, for anybody (and comments will be blocked on the post, sorry); my blog, my opinion, don’t like, don’t read — or either read it, like/don’t like it, and move on.

I admire the fan(s) who have stepped up for us against the false and harsh words from this person, but please, don’t involve yourself if you can help it, it’s only going to cause more problems and unnecessary drama (it turned personal for one fan, because she was called a very vulgar name that no woman should ever be called by a man); which this person - who is almost a 30 year old man - get’s off on. It’s sad if you have to use different Twitter and Tumblr accounts just to stir drama and play the victim on your main account (we’re not the fools you are portraying us to be).

We’re not trying to sound bitter, but we’re not going to allow other fans to step on our personal beliefs about the show and cast aspersions behind our backs on various social media outlets either. And I know I most certainly will not tolerate being disrespected for my opinion which you may or may not disagree with.

People are saying with Vanessa on vacation, [Etharah and non-Etharah] fans want to fight, it’s not that Vanessa’s on vacation, it’s because this person chose to wait until around the time she did go away, to come back into the picture as a regular poster in the fandom. This ‘fighting’ probably would have occurred whether Vanessa stayed at home or left.

To all MBAV fans: we need to respect each other and each other’s opinions period, it’s fine to offer your own as long as you’re not trying to force your views on another fan. Also, we ALL need to stir #MBAVseason3 amongst fans on our profiles, and stop stirring drama between each other.

And to answer the next questions: No, I won’t pick up germaican’s slack because I’ll be working and focusing more on my job. Yes, I’ll try to keep you updated on the cast/season 3, even if it’s at 2AM on my off days. I don’t know when exactly “Halloweird” will be up, best est. between May 13-20, 2013 - I’m working all week except Tuesday.

*Sigh*

Two more pictures of Atticus Mitchell and the cast member John Tench with crew from the movie, The Colony. (In Canadian theatres now, in the U.S., August 23rd).

Atticus Mitchell, the 19-year-old Canadian actor who plays Tench’s son in the movie, admits “this is the farthest north I have ever been.”

The Toronto native says he knew nothing about the base here or its significance during the Cold War and its unique partnership with the United States in keeping North American airspace secure.

“I’m really glad we filmed here,” he said, “ and I have to admit I got a bit creeped out going down the Hole with all the signs up to keep people out. You could feel the atmosphere of the Cold War down there. It was really interesting and I understand now what the stakes were that were at play then.”

Also I should note he’s 19 now, he’ll be 20 on May 16th, not in July or September. Also the 2nd image is from The Colony’s Facebook page.

I have been blessed with a new job

After months of struggling financially in my home, things might be starting to turn around for the better, somewhat financially anyway!

My MBV followers should know why I’m going to disappear during the daytime and nighttime hours again. Under the cut for those who care, those who don’t, well… just keep going about your business then!

All week I’ve been in orientations and interviews for a night job stocking (I’d rather not tell where just yet), and I start my “first first” day of work next Thursday night at 10PM (until 8AM Friday morning), although I still go in Monday & Tuesday afternoons next week for job training and paperwork.

I get paid better than I did at my last job (which I loved more when it comes down to the store, but hated because things were changing for the worse from my hours to the staff as the days moved on), and I get more longer hours, but sensible off time — my only pick about it is because I’d rather be in bed during those hours, but we all do what we have to, to survive.

God knows I was praying and hoping for a change in my home, and some happiness. When I was out today, I felt better and I wasn’t even working, to be honest… I’m more happier working than I was in high school (although things were much simpler — I didn’t have more responsibilities on my shoulders like I do now.)

I have been truly blessed and I hope others are as well when it comes down to finding jobs, it’s sad how the job market is these days. It took me SIX MONTHS to get this job, and I have NO regular income in my house and most people in my families don’t care or don’t want to get involved.

But enough about my drama, MBAV fans, this means I’ll be MIA at night (working) and half of the day (because I’ll need sleep).

If you’re not following germaican (and/or thefreshchannel), you might want to, because she’ll likely update you on season 3 news faster than I will, if I’m on the clock, or in the bed!

I hate post-apocalyptic films, but however, to read up on where and how they shot The Colony makes it very interesting (to me anyway). It’s in theaters in Canada now, will be in the U.S. in August (maybe I’ll have something by then so I can see this, although I still have my reservations — the gore turns me off though, I don’t want to see dismembered bodies). IDK.
